We’re looking for an experienced javascript engineer for the Checkoutapp Point of Sales system and Enstore, who is passionate about designing an easy to use software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Excellent programming skills using: Javascript, HTML 5, CSS
  • Object oriented programming experience, especially with Javascript
  • Interest or experience with any of the MVC frameworks like AngularJS, Ember.js, Backbone.js
  • Experience with websocket
  • Experience working with REST API
  • Work well in a small team with the ability to work independently on significant pieces of functionality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on-location in Manhattan

Your tasks:

  • You will be the first hire to build a HTML 5 App for our REST API
  • HTML 5 app will run on many platforms: Desktop, Mobile

Cocoa UI Developer (Full-time - New York, NY)

Python and PostgreSQL database engineer (Full-time - New York, NY)

We’re looking for an experienced database engineer who is passionate about designing an easy to maintain and fast performing database for Checkout Point of Sale for Mac.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Expert in Python
  • Expert in PostgreSQL, and has the ability to demonstrate skills
  • Experience with SQLAlchemy is a plus
  • Very good understanding of REST
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Work well in a small team with the ability to work independently on significant pieces of functionality

Your tasks:

  • Maintain the current PostgreSQL/SQLAlchemy database schema/model
  • Build a REST API for the current model
  • Help design our future database schema/model
  • Work out a plan to upgrade the current model to the new model (use small refactoring steps where possible)
  • Build and maintain the unit test for the model
  • Help build a better user friendly reporting system and maintain existing reports

UI / UX Designer (Full-time, New York, NY)
